Development of Life Skills

Skill-building activities designed to promote confidence and independence - including cooking, budgeting.

At Adedar Care, we support NDIS participants to build practical life skills that promote independence, confidence, and greater choice in everyday life. Our Development of Life Skills services are designed to help participants learn, strengthen, and maintain skills that support long-term wellbeing and independence.

We provide tailored support with:

  • Building daily living and self-care skills
  • Cooking, meal planning, and household management
  • Budgeting, shopping, and money-handling skills
  • Time management and routine development
  • Communication and social skills
  • Travel training and community participation
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills

Our experienced support staff work closely with participants to understand their goals, strengths, and learning style. Supports are delivered at a pace that suits each individual, focusing on capability-building rather than dependency.

Whether the goal is to live more independently, gain confidence at home or in the community, or prepare for employment or further education, we are committed to helping participants develop the skills they need to live life on their own terms.

With Adedar Care, life skills development is about creating opportunities, building confidence, and supporting meaningful outcomes.

All supports are delivered in line with NDIS guidelines and individual plan goals.
